What Can A C-Arm Cost You In 2025?

We are a few months into 2025, making now the perfect time to discuss the current state of C-Arm pricing. When considering pre-owned and refurbished C-Arms, there are three different price brackets that we have placed all the available full-sized C-Arms into:

$25k to $45k
  • OEC Brivo
  • OEC 9800 w/ CRT monitors
  • Philips Pulsera R2
  • Siemens Arcadis Varic
  • Siemens Arcadis Avantic
  • Siemens Arcadis Orbic
  • Siemens Cios Select
  • Ziehm Vision R
  • Ziehm Solo

These C-Arms are generally 10 to 25 years old. The OEC 9800 stands out as the most popular in this grouping, but they only make it into this price bracket if they are sold with the original CRT monitors. While replacing the CRT monitors is a concern, OEC remains the easiest C-Arm to service. The Philips Pulsera and Siemens Arcadis C-Arms have historically been reliable C-Arms but are getting older and harder to service. The same can be said about the Ziehm Vision R. The OEC Brivo and Ziehm Solo are the youngest C-Arms in this grouping but they have smaller generators making them ideal for medical facilities with a lower patient volume.

$45k to $65k

  • OEC 9800 Flat Screen Monitors
  • Philips Veradius Neo
  • Ziehm Solo FD

Again, the OEC 9800 is the most popular C-Arm in this group, especially for clinics looking towards the lower end of the price range. By upgrading the monitors to flat screens, the C-Arm gets improved image quality, reliability and now has a modern look to it. It is still a 20 year old C-Arm, but due to the large install base and the fact that it is easier to service than some of its competitors, it is still a very reliable C-Arm. The pre-owned Philips Veradius Neo and Ziehm Solo are the most affordable C-Arms that have flat panel detectors. The Philips Veradius Neo would be a great option for a medical practice with a high patient volume whereas the Ziehm Solo would be a better fit for a smaller facility, especially one with spatial constraints. The service costs on these C-Arms will be higher than the OEC C-Arms, especially on the ZIehm.

$65k and Up

  • OEC 9900
  • OEC 9900 12” ii
  • OEC Elite CFD
  • Philips Veradius Unity
  • Philips Zenition
  • Siemens Cios Alpha
  • Siemens Cios Spin
  • Ziehm Vision RFD

This grouping consists of the highest priced C-Arms. These C-Arms start around $65,000 but some will exceed $100,000. The OEC 9900s are the only C-Arms in this grouping that have image intensifiers but their market appeal and serviceability justifies the pricing. We view the OEC 9900 as the most popular C-Arm on the pre-owned market and a great value when considering the price point, features, and serviceability. For facilities looking for a C-Arm with flat panel detectors, OEC, Philips, Siemens, and Ziehm all have high quality units to pick from. The biggest deterrent on these units could be availability as they are not as frequently seen as compared to the older units.
