For those facilities who still have an active Hologic InSight FD Mini C-Arm in service, take note: Hologic has officially announced end-of-life for the device,
with sales discontinued as of September 30, 2025. Limited service and parts support will still be available for up to seven years after installation, but units installed before 2019 will not be guaranteed service as of January 1.
Hologic will be able to service newer units based on parts availability, but in the future, parts may become even more limited.
So what does this mean for medical facilities that currently have a Hologic Insight FD? For starters, they should start planning for the continued functionality of their InSight FD Mini C-Arms. Aligning yourself with a third party service company that can confidently service your mini C-Arm is now more important than it has ever been. You can also trade in and upgrade to a newer mini model or purchase a different refurbished Mini C-Arm altogether.
