Earlier this year I wrote a post discussing flat screen monitors for C-Arms, but would like to add some valuable information. 
OEC C-Arms can be equipped with LED flat panel monitors even though the system was not originally manufactured with them. Atlantis Worldwide has been providing these monitors as an upgrade and would like to let you know the benefits that they provide you.
Here’s what we found out about the monitors originally manufactured with the OEC 9800 C-Arm: The most obvious issue is that they are 16" CRT fixed box monitors. While these monitors have 1k x 1k resolution, the C-Arm is visually outdated. The fact that you have to move the entire monitor cart in order to have the monitors face you is also inconvenient. But one thing that probably has not crossed your mind is monitor availability. The CRT monitors that are needed for the OEC 9800 are no longer being manufactured. There is a limited supply of unused CRT monitors for OEC 9600s and 9800s. That being said, if you ever have an issue with the CRT monitor on your OEC C-Arm, chances are you will have to replace it with a used monitor or upgrade to flat screen monitors.
Which brings us to the new monitor upgrade for OEC C-Arms that we can provide. These monitors are high resolution, high contrast LED flat panel monochrome monitors. These monitors are mounted on a rotating column that allows you to position the monitors to face you wherever you are located in your exam room.
