C-Arms: The Importance of A Turnkey Solution

Let me set the table. You’re improving your radiology capabilities and one thing has become abundantly clear; you need a C-Arm. Whether you’re building a new facility, buying a C-Arm for the first time, or you’re Turnkey_C-Arm1ready to upgrade to a newer/better model – it’s going to take a lot of work and research to make this purchase happen.

When you’re ready to commit to purchasing a C-Arm system, the most logical next step is buying from an experienced company that can streamline the process and take as much of that demanding work off your hands as possible. The reality is that this C-Arm is a highly complex piece of specialized medical equipment and not a piece of furniture.  Sure you have a budget, but it’s not like buying from Ikea. You’re not assembling this with an Allen Wrench and a Mallet. You need support. You need a company that delivers exceptional service along with high-end equipment that lasts.

This is where Atlantis Worldwide comes in.

When you buy a C-Arm from Atlantis Worldwide, you get a turnkey solution. But what does that mean in context of your C-Arm purchase?  A turnkey solution is defined as a project that is constructed so that it could be sold to any buyer as a completed project. This is exactly what you’ll get from Atlantis Worldwide. When you purchase from us your project is not considered complete until the C-Arm is delivered to your location, set up properly and is ready for use.

In between the time you commit to a purchase until the time you start using your new C-Arm, there is a lot of work that needs to take place. First your used C-Arm needs to get fully refurbished. For those of you that have not read our blog on refurbished C-Arms, you can click here to read it!

After refurbishment, it’s time to ship the system to your location. We go through great lengths to protect our products and your investment during this shipment. Before any shipment leaves Atlantis Worldwide, our in-house engineers securely mount the C-Arm system on a custom built pallet, carefully wrapping the C-Arm in both bubble and plastic wrap for extra protection. On the truck, the C-Arm is wrapped in padded moving blankets for additional protection then strapped to the walls to minimize movement while in transport.

Once the C-Arm is delivered the installation process commences. With every C-Arm we sell, we send a highly trained Atlantis Worldwide engineer to do the installation. This engineer is also a member of the same team that performed the refurbishment on the C-Arm. We believe this continuity is vital to delivering on our turnkey promise. Not only is this engineer that is installing your equipment knowledgeable with C-Arms, but he also has first-hand experience with the actual C-Arm that is being installed.

In order to complete the installation the engineer will recalibrate the C-Arm and make sure that the system is running up to OEM specifications after shipment. Now your C-Arm is almost ready. Our engineering fills out the necessary FDA 2579 form, making sure that the C-Arm is appropriately registered with the state and federal government. They will leave a copy of the FDA 2579 form on site and send a copy in to the appropriate registration location.

Installation is now complete but that doesn’t mean we’re done. We are happy to offer your team a training session to go over all the functions and buttons that control the C-Arm. It’s a basic training session or what we like to refer to as “buttonology.” Our engineer is also available to answer any questions you may have.

Lastly, the C-Arm will come with a warranty to ensure that the system will remain functional for the foreseeable future.

This is how Atlantis Worldwide defines “turnkey solution,” and in our opinion, there is no other way to do business. This commitment to quality and support is all included in the initial price of the C-Arm so there are no additional costs that will blindside you once the equipment is installed.

With everything that you have to do on a daily basis, managing this process is something you should not have to worry about, and that is what we are here for.
